The Center for Strategic Research of Tajikistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Iranian Allameh Tabataba’i University, in an effort to boost collaboration regarding research and education between the two countries, Mehr News reported.
The agreement was formed with the intention of fostering and expanding scientific and research collaboration, with a focus on the humanities and social sciences, and to make the most of the strengths and resources of both parties in these sectors.
The MoU lists several areas of collaboration, including exchanging professors and students, producing joint books, sharing scientific data, books, articles, and research materials, and hosting educational seminars.
The president of the university emphasized that Allameh Tabataba’i University’s goal in the area of international activities is to increase international communication.
He added that the university currently cooperates with numerous nations and major universities around the world, some of which have been put into practice.
He continued by saying that improving relations and communication with Islamic, adjacent, and Muslim nations is one of the university’s priorities.
“We have cultural closeness with Tajikistan and we can have common scientific grounds together and use the available capacities for scientific development,” the university president added, as quoted by Mehr News.
