Türkiye ties with Romania ‘source of pride,’ interior minister says

According to Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, Ankara is satisfied with the daily advancement of relations with Romania, Anadolu Agency reported.

Soylu stated during a banquet in the Turkish capital of Ankara to commemorate Romania’s Independence Day, “the stage achieved by the relations between Romania and Türkiye is a source of pride.”

In order to maintain peace, stability, and well-being in the Balkans, Soylu stated that Türkiye will keep improving its relations with Bucharest.

He proudly acknowledged that Romania is Türkiye’s largest trading partner in southeast Europe and that the two nations are trying to increase their trade volume to $10 billion.

According to him, the tight relationships between the two countries as two friendly states in the area contribute significantly to finding solutions to the challenges there.

According to Stefan Tinca, the Romanian ambassador to Türkiye, Romania and Türkiye are strategic partners and have a “mature and robust” relationship.

Southeast European and Black Sea regional partners Romania and Türkiye make good neighbors. Within NATO, we have strong alliances. As the year draws to a conclusion, Tinca predicted that economic transactions will surpass the $10 billion mark.
