The SCCI organized the Sharjah-Tajikistan business forum today to talk about methods to improve economic relationships between Tajikistan and the Emirati nation, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, Zawya informed.
In order to strengthen the food security systems in both countries, the forum—which was held in conjunction with a high-level business delegation from Tajikistan—highlighted the value of fostering partnerships across a variety of fields of shared interest, including the food and agricultural sectors.
Abdul Aziz Shattaf, Assistant Director-General for the Communication and Business Sector, welcomed the delegation and noted that the forum offered a perfect opportunity to examine potential lines of collaboration and ways to share expertise in order to improve trade exchange and boost trade missions between the two friendly nations.
According to Shattaf, the UAE and Tajikistan’s bilateral ties are strengthening and flourishing in all areas as a result of the leaderships of both countries’ smart perspectives and directives, which had a beneficial impact on establishing the ties based on respect and mutual benefit. The amount of trade exchanged between the two nations has doubled over the last few years, reaching US$61.5 million in 2019.
The ambassador of Tajikistan to the UAE, Sharifi Bahadur Mahmoudzadeh, for his part, emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties between his country and the UAE. He also thanked Sharjah Chamber for hosting the forum, which provided an opportunity for experts to share knowledge and discover the business and investment opportunities in both nations.
