Deputy prime ministers of member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will take part in a virtual meeting, convening the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
In addition to updating the list of crucial Eurasian technology platforms, the video conference (set for October 7) participants will examine the sources and procedures for funding EAEU industrial cooperation projects, BELTA reports.
The deputy prime ministers will assess the status of the international agreements being drafted to create a common gas market in the EAEU and a framework to build joint markets for oil and petroleum products in the EAEU.
The establishment of a regional accrediting body for the EAEU, the CIS nations, and other interested governments is on the agenda. Other items include the approval of a road map for the use of standard techniques for “cryptographic protection of goods identification” instruments in the EAEU.
Additionally, the EEC Council will choose the organizations that will participate in the “centralized trading of electric energy under fixed-term contracts and under contracts” for the next day on the EAEU Common Electric Power Market.
As part of their efforts to strengthen the viability of the member states’ economies, the meeting’s participants will take into account the import and circulation within the EAEU of goods that require an obligatory conformity assessment. On the agenda are additional matters as well as changes to a number of technical union laws.
Deputy prime minister Igor Petrishenko of Belarus represents the country on the EEC Council.
